WorldWide Sports Promotions, LLC is dedicated to philanthropic causes and supports these efforts through sporting competitions.
WWSP, LLC would like to support the efforts of the International Red Cross (IRC). The mission of the International Red Cross, officially known as the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, is to prevent and alleviate human suffering, protect life and health, and uphold human dignity, particularly during times of armed conflict and natural disasters. This mission is carried out without discrimination based on nationality, race, religious beliefs, class, or political opinions.
This competition is not officially sanctioned by the IRC and has no connection to its conduct.
To participate, a player must be a member of chess.com. This tournament or WWSP, LLC, however, is not connected in any way to the company that owns chess.com. We receive no compensation from chess.com. This competition relies on the results of rapid play between players who play matches arranged by chess.com. Players agree to abide by the rules set forth by chess.com and available on the website chess.com. The rules associated with playing for money are outlined in the chess.com rules here.
While the competition is being beta tested, no actual cash prizes will be awarded, but a person can participate and see how it all works for free.
After this evaluation period is concluded, all players' data will be reset, all simulated players will be removed, and we will begin charging fees, awarding prizes, and collecting for the IRC! and we will begin charging fees, awarding prizes, and collecting for the IRC!
There will be two $6 (usd) events, one winner for every ten players, and a winner take all. also there will be two $13 (usd) events, one winner for every ten players, and one winner for every forty players.
Money collected by the entry fees is distributed this way:
70% is paid out to the award winners
20% is paid out to the International Red Cross
6.2% is paid out to the Stripe, who handles the fee and prize transactions
3.8% is paid out to WWSP,LLC to operate the competition.
As we grow, expect some shutdown days as we rebuild the look of the website and the size of our ability to handle the increasing numbers of participants.
Think about what it would mean to conduct tournaments that allow participants from all over the world to compete and have a chance to win cash while raising money for the IRC.
